Admission

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Admissions shall be made as per the prescribed Regulations of Gauhati University. The Common Entrance Test will be centrally conducted by Gauhati University. The students will be eligible to get admission in the TwoYearB.Ed course only when they get the requisite cut-off marks in the Common Entrance Test as per Gauhati University guidelines.
ELIGIBLITY

A candidateeligible for admission into the B.Ed program offered by Gauhati Universityshall be required to possess minimum 50% marks in aggregate either in Graduation or Post-Graduation in any stream from Gauhati University or any other recognizedUniversity.There is a relaxation of 5% marks for the candidates belonging to ST/SC/OBC and MOBC.

Date of Admission : As per notification by Gauhati University

Commencement of Classes : As per notification by Gauhati University

 

FEE STRUCTURE

The admission fee shall be notified from time to time. However, admission fee/ tuition fee and other statutoryfee shall be notified by the college authority and the copy of such notification shall be provided to the candidate at the time of admission.
The College authority may relax the fees to the needy students if and when necessary. Scholarships may also be awarded from time to time to meritorious students who do not have the means. The rate of such scholarships shall be determined by the college authority.Further, the students shall have to bear the Registration fee, Examination fee and other admissible fee payable to the University from time to time. Hostel fee shall be separately charged.

 

REGISTRATION AND MIGRATION

Candidates, who are migrating from other Universities, have to register themselves under Gauhati University.For such registration, students from any recognized University other than Gauhati University have to produce Migration Certificates within one month of admission. In case of failure to produce such Migration Certificates from their last University, students shall not be allowed to appear in the final B.Ed Examination.


SESSIONAL AND TEST EXAMINATIONS

There shall be regular Sessional & Test examinations, conducted by the College. The attendance in such Sessional & Test examinations is compulsory. Internal marks will be based on Sessional & Test examinations.

ATTENDANCE

A student registered for B.Ed programme of Gauhati University is required to have a minimum of 75% attendance of the total lectures delivered in each paper. As per regulations of Gauhati University, the student who fails to attend 75% of classes in aggregate attendance of all papers shall be declared as dis- collegiateand shall not be eligible to appear in the final B.Ed examination.
